If you wish to purchase one of these software packages, check a variety of sources as prices do vary (LANL note: EndNote is available through ESD).

• EndNote 8: The export feature of SearchPlus (automatic download) does not work for EndNote v.8. The developer of EndNote is working on a patch. Until it is ready, use the RIS format and manually import using the Reference Manager (RIS) filter.
  
• ProCite - Please edit the Config file Ris.cfg so that the JF field is transferred. No journal title will be imported otherwise. A new .cfg file is available. Copy the file into the config directory of ProCite. For earlier versions, this directory will be associated with Biblio-Link.

RefWorks:

RefWorks is web-based, so no software needs to be installed and a destination file does not need to be created before downloading. (LANL note: LANL staff have access through https://www.refworks.com/).

RIS:

You can also manually download records using the RIS import filter in your bibliographic software package. The name for the RIS filter varies from package to package:

ProCite = RIS

Reference Manager = RIS
